Kosmaris is a browser-based multiplayer space strategy game built around a single shared 2D spiral galaxy — one persistent world that keeps running whether you are logged in or not. You start with one homeworld and grow through colonisation — up to 8 colonies across different planet biomes (Barren, Desert, Ice). Mines feed your economy, droids staff your buildings, research unlocks ships and capabilities, and a competitive leaderboard tracks who is pulling ahead. The galaxy is contested from day one.

Band together in an alliance and send an Archon deep into empty space to found a forward base: a shared supply depot, radar post, and staging point for allied fleets. A tactical overview minimap shows every fleet in motion, and trip-time estimates help you time simultaneous strikes. Generals — captured NPC commanders — can ride with your fleets to boost speed and attack power.
A multi-tier technology tree gates ships, buildings, and capabilities behind progressive research chains. Every battle produces a detailed after-action report — each ship type's initial, lost, and surviving count for both attacker and defender, plus the resources looted and destroyed. Win or lose, you see exactly what happened, then refine your fleet composition for the next strike. Victory rewards the better-built fleet, not the luckier roll.
A global leaderboard tracks every commander's score in real time. Form alliances, build alliance bases, and coordinate wars or peace treaties across rival factions. The scoreboard reflects the cumulative impact of your economy, fleet, and research decisions — your empire's rank is earned, not gifted.
