Key dates
- Opens: Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 16:00 UTC, the moment v1 lands and the galaxy resets.
- Closes: Monday, October 12, 2026 at 16:00 UTC, exactly one month later.
The wipe resets the galaxy, not your account. Your login stays valid, and so does your KMS balance. Everything else inside it goes back to zero: planets, buildings, fleets, research, resources, and score. Everyone starts from nothing at the open, on the same fresh galaxy, at the same moment.
How the winner is decided
The winner is the account with the highest score on the public scoreboard at the closing timestamp. No separate entry, no special mode, no sign-up. You play, and the scoreboard tracks you from the moment you own a planet.
What "score" means
Score is one number for everything you have invested in your empire: planets, ships, buildings, research, and resources. It rises as you build, research, and expand. It updates throughout the month on the public scoreboard at kosmaris.com, so you can watch your rank move the whole way, not just at the end.
Rules
- One account per person. No shared accounts.
- The game's normal rules apply for the whole tournament. Nothing new, nothing relaxed.
- The organizer's decision on any dispute is final.
- Prizes are paid after the final standings are published. KMS is credited in-game. USDG is sent on-chain to the withdrawal address set on the winning account.

What is USDG? USDG is Global Dollar, a stablecoin pegged 1:1 to the US dollar and backed by cash reserves. 100 USDG is worth 100 US dollars. It is sent on-chain to the withdrawal address set on the winning account. It is not a Kosmaris token and it is not KMS.

Two special prizes, 100,000 KMS each
Glorious Defeat goes to the largest value of ships one player lost in a single battle against another player during the tournament, valued at build cost (metal, carbon, and hydrogen). Battles involving pirates do not count. Only ship losses count, not droids or cargo. One battle, not a sum across the month. Ship build costs stay fixed for the whole tournament.
Finest Commander goes to the active general with the highest attack bonus held by a player at the closing timestamp, on a planet, aboard a fleet, or captive in transit. Ties go to the higher speed bonus, then to the older general. Generals are captured from pirates or taken from other players in battle, and their stats never change. A general you hold can be lost the same way, so this prize rewards the hunt and holding on until the close.
Both special prizes are independent of ladder rank. One player can win a special prize and a ladder prize.
Forfeiture
Staged battles between associated accounts, shared accounts, and multi-accounting forfeit every prize for every account involved, per the Terms.
How the result gets published
At the closing timestamp we snapshot the public scoreboard and post the final standings here and in Discord. Prizes are paid from that snapshot.
FAQ
Do I need to sign up? No. Create an account, play, and own a planet. You are on the scoreboard and in the running.
I already have an account. Does anything carry over? Your account and login survive. Everything in the galaxy resets at the open, ours included. You start exactly like a brand-new player, with no re-registration.
Can I join partway through the month? Yes. The closing timestamp does not move, so a later start leaves you less time to build score.
What if two accounts are tied? The older account ranks first.
Does my alliance's score count? No. The tournament ranks individual accounts on the public player scoreboard.
How do I receive a prize? There is nothing to claim. KMS is credited to the winning account in-game. USDG is sent on-chain to the withdrawal address set on the winning account, so set yours before the close.
Is there a prize for second or third place? Yes. Ranks 1 through 3 receive both USDG and KMS. Ranks 4 through 20 receive KMS. The two special prizes are independent of rank.
