Release 0.7.2 is a big one: pirates now roam the galaxy on their own schedule, generals join your fleets, and the tech tree gets its first real structure.
Pirate fleets
- Pirates patrol the galaxy — Pirate fleets dock at wild planets, depart on their own, and hop to new wild destinations.
- Attack anywhere — You can now attack any planet, including empty wild planets.
Generals
- Combat & travel modifiers — Generals buff the fleet they command. They can be captured at the end of a battle.
Tech tree v1
- Research Lab building — A per-planet Lab (cap L15) is the entry point. Lab levels across your empire feed a global research-speed multiplier.
Visual refresh
- Planet biomes — Every planet now has one of six cosmetic biomes (purely visual in v1) and shows the matching art across the UI. Biome is owner-visible only.
Combat and loot
- Equal-split loot — Raid loot now spreads across metal, carbon, and hydrogen instead of strict metal-first priority. Carbon and hydrogen stockpiles are no longer effectively immune to small raids.
- Asteroid combat clarity — Reports show the asteroid's name (not "Deep Space"), mission history shows the asteroid target, and you can no longer fight yourself when attacking your own mining fleet.
- Unread combat reports badge — The Combat Reports inbox shows a count of unread reports.
Asteroid mining
- 3× yield bump — Mining ship yield raised 3x, making mining a real economic alternative to mines.
- Better dispatch flow — The Idle Mining Ships panel only lists planets that actually have idle mining ships, shows the count per row, and Dispatch works across planets.
Send Fleet & missions
- Coordinates on every row — Planet and asteroid rows in the destination picker show (X, Y) alongside the name.
- Mobile polish — The Send Fleet screen no longer overflows horizontally on phone viewports.
- 10× fuel cost — Making the Hydrogen Synthesizer matter late-game.
Other
- Refund overflow warning fixed — The "you will lose X" cancel dialog no longer fires when the refund actually fits under the cap.
- Droid counter live — The header droid counter refreshes when droids leave on a transport and again when they arrive.
