Release 0.29.0 is the summer release, and the largest of the season. Most of it went into making Kosmaris safer and more reliable rather than into new screens — a little over two weeks of work with security as the headline.
Security
- A large batch of security work — This release landed a broad round of hardening across the systems that run Kosmaris and across the KMS deposit path. We don't itemise security changes; describing them in detail mostly helps the wrong people.
KMS deposits
- The minimum deposit is shown upfront — The deposit screen now reads the current minimum and shows it before your wallet opens, so a too-small deposit is caught early instead of failing after you have already paid the network fee.
- Deposits credit reliably — Deposit detection was rebuilt. Deposits are picked up promptly and catch up straight away after any interruption.
Research
- Refused research explains itself — When a research order is rejected, the message now says exactly why, including what each resource requires against what you currently have.
Quality and stability
- Blockchain improvements — Ongoing work on the KMS token infrastructure.
