Release 1.0.0 landed on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 16:00 UTC. Three things happened in that one moment: Kosmaris left alpha, the galaxy was wiped, and the Launch Tournament opened.
Out of alpha
The ALPHA badge is gone from the sidebar, and so is the alpha wording everywhere else Kosmaris describes itself. The game has been live and playable for months. The version number finally says so. Nothing about how it plays has changed.
Season One is running
The galaxy reset at the open. Planets, buildings, fleets, research, resources and score all went back to zero for everyone at the same moment, ours included. Your account and your KMS balance survived the wipe.
The tournament closes Monday, October 12, 2026 at 16:00 UTC, and the account with the highest score on the public scoreboard at that timestamp wins. There is nothing to sign up for. Create an account, take a planet, and you are on the ladder.
Prizes, the full rules and the two special prizes are in the tournament rules post. You can still join partway through, though a later start leaves less time to build.
Rewards land where you want them
Two changes shipped just before the wipe:
- Choose where an objective reward lands. Claiming a reward now shows you which planet is about to receive it and lets you send it elsewhere before you confirm. The storage overflow warning follows your choice, so you can check the destination has room first.
- Bonuses arrive on your home planet. Referral bonuses, and cargo from a fleet whose origin planet is gone, now go to the planet you actually started on rather than to whichever colony the galaxy created first.
Quality and stability
The rest of the work since 0.31.1 was interface polish and behind-the-scenes reliability, with nothing that changes how you play.
Play Kosmaris. The month is running.
