Scoring & Ranking
Your Empire Score is a real-time snapshot of everything you have built, researched, and accumulated. It is used for the global leaderboard. Score is not a currency — it cannot be spent — but it reflects the total economic weight of your empire.
How Score Is Computed
Score is the sum of multiple independent components, each valued using one of several methods:
- Resource face value — raw resources (metal, carbon, hydrogen) on planets, in market accounts, and in active cargo are valued at one point per unit.
- Ship build cost — each ship contributes its full metal, carbon, and hydrogen build cost.
- Building cumulative cost — buildings contribute the sum of build costs for every level built so far. A high-level building contributes far more than a freshly built one.
- Droid build cost — each DROID is valued at its metal and carbon build cost.
- Research flat cost — completed research nodes contribute their full research cost.
Every component is live: when resources arrive at your planet, your score rises immediately. When a building upgrade finishes, score climbs by the cumulative cost of that level. When a ship departs on a mission, its score contribution moves from "docked ships" to "active ships" — the total does not change.
What Counts (and What Does Not)
Everything you own or control counts:
- Resources on planets, in market accounts, and in active cargo
- All ships, regardless of whether they are docked, flying, or parked at an asteroid
- All buildings at their cumulative level cost
- The value of queued ships, buildings, and droids
- Completed research nodes
- Cargo in asteroid dock buffers
What does not count: KMS balance (KMS is not a planet resource); asteroid pools (you do not own them).
Alliance Scoring
An alliance score is the sum of all member scores plus additional components the alliance owns outright:
- Base resources — resources held in the alliance base stockpile, valued face-value.
- Base building cumulative cost — cumulative upgrade cost of buildings at the alliance base.
- Alliance research investment — flat cost of all completed alliance research nodes.
Member scores are not modified when an alliance is formed — a player's individual score stays exactly as computed above regardless of alliance membership. The alliance total is the members' sum plus the alliance-owned additions.
Leaderboard
The global leaderboard ranks players by their individual Empire Score. Alliance standings rank alliances by their combined score. Scores update in real time as events (arrivals, completions, fleet dispatches) occur.
